Janet V. (Toth) Gyoker

Janet V. Gyoker, age 84, of Brimfield, passed away with her family by her side on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Summa Akron City Hospital.

Janet was born September 7, 1937 in Akron, to the late Josef and Katherine (Nagy) Toth.

She was a High School graduate of Copley.  A member of St. Peter of Fields Catholic Church, and the Hungarian-American Club of Akron.  As a homemaker, she loved to cook and bake for family events.

She is survived by her children, Janice (Bob) Frey, Steven (Debi) Gyoker; grandchildren, Andrew (Lindsay) Frey, Rebecca Gyoker, Richard (Randi) Chamness, and Shawn (Abby) Chamness; great-grandchildren, Keira, Carly, Lainey, Cash, Presley, and Kinley.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Istvan “Steve” Gyoker; parents, brother, and sister.

Calling hours will be held 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM Monday, January 10, 2022 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, followed immediately with Funeral Services with Pastor Bob Burgess at 7:00 PM.  Private Burial at Restland Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to charity of choice.
