Janet and Larry Shanley Together Again

Janet Marie Shanley remarkable mother of 8, age 81, of Stow, OH, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Stow-Glen Retirement Village in the comfort of her family.

Janet was born March 1, 1938 in Ravenna, OH to Glenn and Mary (Hurst) Burridge and raised her family in Kent, OH.

She is survived by children, Tom (Patti) Shanley of Brimfield Township, OH, Gerald Shanley of Middle Bass Island, OH, Susan France of Stow, OH, Dean Shanley of Diamond, OH, Patrick Shanley of Kent, OH and Brian (Stacy) Shanley of Hudson, OH.  Grandchildren, Crystal Shanley, Doug Shanley, Chris (Jenn) Shanley, Kyle Shanley, Sean Shanley, Michael France, Faith Shanley, Brendon Shanley and Maryn Shanley.  Great grandchildren, Riley Shanley and McKenna Shanley. Sister, Nancy (Alan) Jones.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lawrence Shanley, children Timothy Shanley and Diane Shanley and sister, Mary Lou Smith.

Janet was an avid gardener of flowers and vegetables.  She treasured canning the fruits of her labor and teaching her love of the craft to her children and grandchildren.  Her delicious iced tea was a favorite among her family and her preference for the outdoors, hard work ethic and determination will remain life-long lessons they all will carry with them forever.

At her request, cremation has taken place at Bissler & Sons Crematory and a private family inurnment will take place at Standing Rock Cemetery.
