Jason Lee Jeffers Sr.

Jason Lee Jeffers Sr., age 43, of Kent, OH, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home.

Jason was born November 28, 1979 in Ashtabula, OH to James Jeffers and Darlene Lister. 

Jason enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his boys.  He met the love of his life when he was 21, and their relationship/marriage bloomed for almost 23 years.  He enjoyed cooking, he made some of the best meals that his friends and family have ever tasted.  He enjoyed reading James Patterson and Stephen King novels.  Jason would help those who were in need, anytime that he was able to.  He was attending Liberty University in pursuit of a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.  If there was something you needed to know or needed the answer to a question he was the person to ask, because we all should’ve already known, he had the answers and was always right.  Jason was well-loved and will truly be missed; “Another young soul gone too soon”.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Thornton) Jeffers; children, D’vonte Thornton, Jason Jeffers Jr., J’Ttrevion (JT) Jeffers, and Makayla Jeffers; brother, James Clay Jeffers; mother, Darlene Lister; sister in laws, Ora and Dawn Henry; granddaughter, Aubrielle Thornton; many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James Jeffers; brother, Andrew Jeffers; daughter, Tanisha Jeffers; paternal and maternal grandparents; grandmother, Sandra Henry; and mother in law, Erika Henry.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date. Per his wishes, cremation will take place this week, A Go Fund Me account at https://gofund.me/c00076cb  has been organized to assist family with arrangements.
