Jay Saltzman Obituary

Jay Aaron Saltzman, 64, died on Sunday, March 17, 2024.  He was born in Findlay, OH on April 25, 1959, the son of Dr. Glenn and Ruth (Weaver) Saltzman.

Jay moved to Kent in 1966, was a 1977 graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School and has remained a resident since.  He attended Kent United Church of Christ.

Jay lived with many challenges since birth.  After graduating from high school, he lived independently.  He enjoyed his daily visits to the Kent Social Service for coffee, lunch and conversations with other clients.  The PARTA bus service made his transportation possible.  The family appreciates the support of the many organizations.

Jay was preceded in death by his father Glenn and his younger brother and best friend Jon.

He leaves his mother Ruth Saltzman; brother Jeff (Sally Abbott) Saltzman; sister Jill Saltzman; nephews, Daniel Saltzman, Andrew Saltzman, Connor Servantes, Austin (Natalie Wilson) Servantes and his great nephew Nicholas Saltzman.
