Jean E. Baird

Jean E. Baird, age 74 of Kent, passed away March 22, 2023 at Briarwood Healthcare Center. She was born July 5, 1948 to Fred and Vera Sylvanus. Jean is survived by her husband, Darrel Baird; children, David (Debbie) Baird, Denise Baird, and Kelli Baird; six grandchildren, Heather (Angelo) Battaglia, Sarah Ault, Abby Baird, Jordyn Pflugh, Adam Baird, and Mitchell Pflugh, and 3 great-grandchildren, Aiden Battaglia, Isabella Battaglia, and Lily Ault. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Dale Baird.

In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Jean treasured the serenity of the ocean waves in Emerald Isle, North Carolina and the thrill of high-speed rollercoasters at Walt Disney World in Florida. She had a creative spirit that manifested itself through designing themed parties for her grandchildren, helping Santa put together stockings for the family at Christmas time, and directing the Free Spirit Cloggers at her dance studio. Above all, she loved being with her family, and her legacy will continue to live on through them.
