John Paul “Jack” Neuzil

August 8, 1942 - August 23, 2023

Jack is preceded in death by his brothers Frederick and Robert both of whom died in infancy, his parents George and Lois Neuzil of Grand Island, Nebraska, and by his beloved wife Mary Helen Neuzil (Cooper) of Kent, Ohio.

Jack is survived by his sister Nancy Schofield of Shelton, Nebraska; his son Jozef Neuzil (Melanie) and granddaughter Molly of Kent, Ohio; his daughter Alexis Winnen (Michael) and grandsons Jack and Lane of Twinsburg, Ohio; and his son Jonathan Neuzil (Matt Willson) of Lakewood, Ohio.

He was a loving father and husband who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures including coaching his children’s youth soccer teams. In his younger years, Jack was an active skier, cyclist, and triathlete. He was often seen riding his bike through town on his way to Kent State University where he loved teaching Mathematics for over 40 years.

Jack loved music of many varieties, especially when his children and grandkids played it for him.

Jack and his family would like to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to the nurses and aides at Danbury Senior Living in Hudson, Ohio and to the staff from Gardens of the Reserve Hospice who took care of him for the past several years.
