Joseph R. Fortin

Joseph R. Fortin, age 66, of Kent, OH, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022 at UH Portage Medical Center.

Joseph was born March 23, 1956 in Ravenna, OH to the late Richard and Marie (O'Brien) Fortin.

He was a graduate of the Kent Roosevelt High School Class of 1975, member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Patrick Catholic Church of Kent, and an avid Cleveland sports fan.

He is survived by siblings, Julianne Fortin, Susan (Joseph) Yackmack, Richard G. (Barbara) Fortin, Timothy (Joyce) Fortin; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be held 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 N. Depeyster St, Kent, OH 44240.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.  

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Longmeadow Care Center in Ravenna, OH for their caring service.
