Joseph J. Tassone Jr.

Joseph J. Tassone Jr., 93, of Stow died June 5, 2021, at Stow-Glen Retirement Village.

He was born February 2, 1928 in Hooversville, PA to Joseph and Elizabeth (Kovack) Tassone.  He was a veteran of the Army during the Korean War. 

He is survived by his son, Joe (Melinda) Tassone of Joelton, TN; daughters, Patricia Galus of Rochester Hills , MI and Carol (Edward) Conklin of Ohio; grandchildren, Dion, Sarah, Daniel, Rachel, and Jason; great grandchildren, Zachery, Brendan, Aydan, Camden, Reid, and Hayden; sisters, Rose Sycz of Stow, and Mary Ann Laubert of Palm Beach Gardens, FL.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa L. (Kuzma) in 2015, grandchild, Dana, brothers, Samuel Tassone, William Tassone, and Michael Tassone; sisters, Elizabeth Tassone, and, Francis Kovack; and his best friend from the Army, Don Witts.

Visitation will be held 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, June 10, 2021 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent with Pastor Kim Barnett Officiating with an hour of visitation prior to service.  Burial will follow the funeral and be held at Grandview Memorial Park.
