Josephine Ann (Schwallie) Henry

Josephine “Joann” Henry, 88, of Kent, Ohio passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 just 2 months shy of her 89th birthday.

Joann was born to Bertha and Aloysius Schwallie on May 28, 1934.

She spent her youth on the family farm in southern Ohio and was a resident of Kent since 1960.

Joann graduated from nurses training at Good Samaritan in Zanesville in 1956 succeeding her mother who was also a graduate. She worked as an RN until 1994 at Robinson Memorial Hospital, in private practice for Dr. Mulla and finally at Heather Knowles. She devoted her life to caring for others and her family. Her innate loving kindness will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years James Henry; their 4 children, Kevin, Eric, Annette and Michelle Morgan. Her grandsons Lee and Christian Morgan; granddaughter, Rachel Truelsch; her two great granddaughters, Lola and Zoe Truelsch; and her sisters, Theresa Arnold and Mary Heydon.

A private service is planned.
