June Bauer Obituary

June Ann Bauer was Set Free from this life on March 31, 2021. Born in Ravenna, OH on November 25, 1929, she was the daughter of Warner and Mary (Roberts) Amick. June was a long-time member of St. Patrick’s Church. One of her many enjoyments was attending Sunday morning mass immediately followed by joining family and friends at a local eatery for breakfast and conversation.

Survivors include siblings, Mary Lou Mazzola, Jean Paris, and Ronnie Amick; children, Steven C. (Eva) of Tucson, AZ, Vickie S. Sampson (John), Donnie J (Kristen) both of Kent, OH and Ann Marie Allison (Mark) of Charlotte, NC; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; Her loving dog, Bob, who was by her side when she passed, literally countless grand-dogs and great-grand dogs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Donald C. Bauer and beloved son Michael, also her sisters Dorothy Sethman and Joan Daniels.

June loved exercising, sewing, hand-crafts, cooking, baking and, in general, just taking care of others. Her kind, generous, loving and giving spirit will remain in our hearts and memories forever. Anyone who knew June was aware of the love and affection she had for all dogs. Naturally, all dogs clearly recognized this trait and were immediately drawn to her. The list of her dogs who she has now joined is too long to publish.

A special thanks to the staff of The Gardens at Liberty Park and Compassionate Care Hospice. Memorials can be made in June’s honor to Portage County APL.

Private family services will be held at St. Patrick’s Church in Kent on Friday, April 9, 2021. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am.
