Kenneth R. "Ron" LeMaster

Kenneth Ronald “Ron” LeMaster, 83, of Ravenna, OH, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 29, 2021, surrounded by his family.  He was born in Rush, OH on November 3, 1937 and moved to Ravenna in 1963. 

Ron was employed in a variety of trades, including farmer, truck driver, tool and dye maker, East Park employee and fleet manager for Level Propane.  He was owner of Hudson Disposal for many years, and retired from Amerigas as National Fleet Maintenance Director.

Ron was extremely gifted and could fix anything.  He was a devoted husband and father, who nurtured strength in his children to persevere through adversity, to have a strong work ethic and to be fair.  He was loving and kind, and never complained about the challenges he faced.  He had a great ability to teach his skills to others, and he was highly respected by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Dona LeMaster; brothers, Don LeMaster, James “Ed” LeMaster and Robert LeMaster; son Kenneth M. LeMaster and granddaughter Kimberly Renee Vanderlaan.

Ron leaves behind with cherished memories, his wife of 43 years, Theresa LeMaster; sons, D (Kelly) LeMaster, Rick (Becky) LeMaster, Ken (Beth) Ahrens and Shawn (Michelle) Ahrens; daughters, Susan (Steve Becker) Vanderlaan, Karen (Mike) Mariana and Carleen Ellis; sister Cathy LeMaster; 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In honoring his wishes, Ron will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations may be made, in his name, to The Haven of Portage County, c/o Portage Community Chapel, 6490 State Rt. 14 Ravenna, OH 44266.
