Martha (Jenior) Norton

Martha Norton, 100, of Kent, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021 at Stow-Glen Retirement Village.  She was born in Akron on May 6, 1921 to the late George and Gertrude Jenior.  Martha enjoyed playing euchre, knitting, crocheting, traveling and cooking.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a very devoted and active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Martha was a very caring and loving person who was always willing to help anyone in need.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Robert Norton; her sister Rita Brown; brothers Bernard and Francis Jenior and her great grandson Joseph Wesley Priebe.

She leaves her sons James (Cathy) Norton and Robert (Bridget) Norton; daughter Nancy (Ronald) Nash; eight grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and sisters Cecilia Miller and Mary Huth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 313 N. Depeyster St. Kent, OH 44240, with the Rev. Fr. Richard Pentello as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in her name, to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
