Mary E. "Betsy" (Krebs) Grimm

Mary E. “Betsy” Grimm, 94, of Kent, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Stow-Glen Retirement Village.  She was born in Dover, OH on March 21, 1926 to the late Edward and Emma Krebs and was a graduate of Dover High School.  Betsy went on to earn her nursing degree from Massillon City School of Nursing.  She was employed as a registered nurse at Dr. Richard Stahl’s office, Dr. James Hogan’s office and retired from Kent State University Health Center. 

She was a member of Kent United Church of Christ and St. John’s United Church of Christ in Dover, Massillon City Nurse’s Association, the International Order of Eastern Star and the Kent Red Hat Society. 

In addition to her parents, Betsy was preceded in death by her husband Eugene “Geno” Grimm in 2001; brother Edward “Bud” Krebs and sisters, Doris Darbee and Josephine “Jo” Blackwell.

She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Linnea and Patrick Ray of Kent; son and daughter-in-law Todd and Joy Grimm of Arizona; grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan) Coy, Cody (Jamie) Ray; Mike and Geoff Grimm; great grandchildren, Abby, Grace and Zach Coy and Taylor and Teagan Ray.

A private graveside service will be held for the family at Dover Burial Park.  Bissler and Son’s Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
