Mary Agnes Sawyer, 95, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2020.
Agnes followed her dreams from a young age as a teacher of music. She received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Music from Kent State University, and taught both vocal and instrumental music in Conneaut School District from 1951 until her retirement in 1986. She had a beautiful singing voice and sang in multiple choirs. She was a world traveler and a perpetual philanthropist, a tremendous giver. Agnes was very devout in her spiritual beliefs and in her love for her family and the Catholic Church. She will be forever loved and we will miss her dearly.
Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, Edward P. and Mary Elizabeth Sawyer; brothers, William E. (Florence) Sawyer, Charles B. (Doris) Sawyer, Edward W. Sawyer; sisters, Mary Margaret (Joseph) Kaminiski, Elizabeth Jayne (Clyde) Bradfield, Mary Alice (Michael) Lenzo; sister-in-law, Barbara Sawyer. Survived by brothers, Donald J. Sawyer, James J. Sawyer and many nieces and nephews.
Private Burial has taken place at Standing Rock Cemetery.
