Mary Catherine Trares

Mary Catherine Trares, age 80, of Suffield, OH, died on Monday, June 6, 2022 at KentRidge Senior Living.

Mary was born February 17, 1942 in Ravenna, OH to the late Carl and Marie (Rhodes) Trares.

She was a graduate from Suffield High School, and also attended Notre Dame High School in Cleveland.  She retired after decades of work at Lamb Electric in Kent.  Her life would revolve around her love of family and dear friends; playing in many of golf and bowling leagues, going on fishing trips, and going out to polka events.  Mary was a farmer at heart and tended her family farm decade after decade, continuing until the end with a simple, good life.

She is survived by her 22 nieces, nephews, cousins; sister-in-law, Marilyn Trares and many dear friends.  She was preceded in death by parents; siblings, Carl Trares Jr., Raymond Trares, Pauline Luli, Joan Belmonti, John Trares; and dear friend Jim Rice.

Calling hours will be held 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. James Lang officiating.  Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the RSA Food Shelf, 2697 Waterloo Rd.
