Maylene Frances (Romeo) Battaglia

Maylene Frances Battaglia, age 90, of Kent, died on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls.

Maylene was born on October 17, 1929 in Kent, to Dominick and Mary (Iversente) Romeo.

Maylene was a passionate woman who put family first and loved them fiercely. Sunday dinners were a staple at her home. Complete with at least three main dishes, countless sides, and several desserts, all of which were homemade. Maylene had a love for flowers and an incredible green thumb. She could revive any plant and keep it alive for years on end. Maylene’s passions live on through her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Dan) Battaglia Weeks; sons, Nicholas A. (Leslie) Battaglia, and Anthony (Michele) Battaglia; granddaughters, Stephanie (Patrick) Rawson, Caitlin (Brent) McNulty, Heather Battaglia, Amber (Chris) Steinker; grandsons, Brandon (Megan) Weeks, Anthony Battaglia; great-granddaughters, Maylene Rawson, Lilah Rawson, Tessa Weeks, Ceceila McNulty; great-grandsons, Chase Weeks, Leland McNulty; sister, Mary Carter.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony T. Battaglia; sisters, Katherine Sakmar, Florence Waller, Susan Romeo; brothers, Bruno Romeo, and Dominick Romeo; parents, Dominick, and Mary Romeo.

Private Graveside Services were held at Standing Rock Cemetery.
