Michael Rutkus Obituary
Michael Richard Rutkus, 78, beloved husband, father, grandfather passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018.
Born January 4, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Michael and Helen Rutkus.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Beverly (nee Wagner); sons, Michael, Mark (Lindsay), Matthew (Laura); grandchildren, Max and Sophia; sister, Carol Barker; brother, Robert (Candace), Gregory (Laurie). Proceeded in death by his parents, Michael, and, Helen (Szurpicki) Rutkus.
The family wishes to thank the Kent paramedics, emergency staff at UH Portage Medical Center, and Dr. Kevin Mineo for their compassionate care!
Calling hours will be held 4 PM to 7 PM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 9, 2018, at St. Patrick Church in Kent with Fr. Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made in his memory to St. Patrick's Church Memorial Fund.
