Raymond Lubelski Obituary

Raymond Dominic Lubelski, aged 83, passed away at his home in Stow on June 15 following a brief illness. Born August 4, 1938 to Mary Kaminski and John Lubelski, he was the youngest of three sons. A graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School, he earned an Associate’s degree and CDL, and was employed by AmeriGas as a propane delivery man, service technician, and manager in Front Royal, Virginia as well as in Coshocton, Ohio for 38 ½ years.

Ray enjoyed watching most sports and playing golf. He loved taking his family camping all across the USA and he particularly loved Colorado. He took great pride in the care of his yard and lawn, and spent many happy hours overlooking it from the backyard deck he constructed himself. In retirement, Ray loved visiting casinos in many states and often traveled to Florida to visit his longtime friend, R. Jeff Brobst, often in the company of his close companion Diane Thompson (deceased).

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joseph and Stanley, and wife Janice Harkcom, Ray is survived by his daughters Mary (Geoff) Penney and Cheryl Zimmerman and his son, Lance (Sarah) Lubelski. He also is survived by seven grandchildren: Darren, Dominic (Kelsey), and Shannon Zimmerman; Nathan and Daniel Penney; and Thomas and Evangeline Lubelski; one great-grandchild, Axel Zimmerman; and his companion, Mary Lou Sommers.

Funeral services will be private. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Ray’s honor to the American Lung Association and the American Nurses Association.
