Richard James "Dick" Kotis

Richard James “Dick” Kotis, 95, passed away peacefully at home on November 21, 2021. Although we announced Dick’s passing at that time, we were not able to hold a service then due to Covid concerns. Now we are ready to celebrate Dick’s life and we hope you will join us!

Dick’s family will host a Celebration of Life at The Overlook, 1519 Overlook Road, Kent, on Sunday, May 22, 2022. The ceremony will start at 2:00 PM, with reminiscing and refreshments to follow, until 4:00 PM. Friends who are not able to attend the ceremony may call between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, in Dick’s words, “Take a kid fishing.” Or, for those so inclined, donations may be made in Dick’s name to the Ethel Mary Kotis Scholarship at Kent State University, Kent State University Foundation, 350 S. Lincoln Street, PO Box 5190, Kent, OH  44240.
