Rita Thomas

Rita Thomas, age 62, of Kent, died on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at her home.

Rita was born December 4, 1956 in Windsor, to Lee and Mary (Armstrong) Thomas.  Rita owned and operated her own cleaning business and worked at Land O'Lakes for 15 years.  She was a member of the Stow Alliance Fellowship, the Northeast Emmanuel Emmaus prayer group and God's Girls on Wheels.  Rita loved music and enjoyed singing.  She loved making cards for all occasions and spending time in her rock garden.  She was involved in the Kent Jr. Mom's and the PTA.

She is survived by daughter, Abigail Thomas; sister, Bonnie Thomas; brother, Lloyd Thomas; niece and nephews, Anita (Francis) Rice-Arbelo, Matthew (Dawn) Hunt, Mark (Melissa) Hunt, Stanley Hunt and Steven Hunt; great-nieces and nephews,  Danielle (Simon) Keller, Samantha Hunt, Jasmine Hunt, Joshua Hunt and Mark Hunt Jr.; great great-niece and nephew, Cataleya Keller and Daniel Rice-Gilbert.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Mary (Armstrong) Thomas; brothers, Stanley Lander and George Waters; sister, Inez Hunt.

Calling hours will be held 6-9 PM Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, where funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2019.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.  Services in care of Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 West Main Street, Kent, OH 44240.
