Roger Ihle

Roger Ihle, 67, of Kent, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at UH Portage Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born in Ravenna on July 29, 1955 to the late Homer and Charlotte Ihle.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree and studied both Archeology and Geology. Roger proudly served in the United States Army and was a retired geologist.  He loved rocks and enjoyed gardening, fishing, turkey hunting and sharing those hobbies with his family.

He leaves his children, Matthew Ihle, Allison Ihle and Samuel Ihle; grandchildren Lorelei Ihle and Nolan Roger Lopez and his sister Diane Ihle Renkin (Roy).

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 4:00-6:00PM at Bissler and Sons Funeral Home, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.  Memorial services will follow at 6:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in his name, to a veteran’s charity of your choice.
