Ronald Jay Papczun

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Ronald Jay Papczun passed away unexpectedly in his home at the age of 55. Ron was born to Alice (nee Greene) McConnell and Carl Papczun in Akron, Ohio. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1985 and earned his business degree from Kent State University. Ron was an electrician by trade. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was proud to provide Funeral Honors.

He was a passionate Cleveland and Ohio State University sports fan, an athlete, a gardener, and enjoyed BBQ’ing large quantities of meat using his homemade sauces.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Brayden; his mother, Alice; his sisters, Holly and Helene; his brothers, Randal, Russell, and Shawn; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

While flowers are welcome, it is asked that any memorial donations be made to the family to help with expenses.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at 3:00PM at Faith United Methodist Church, 1235 Tallmadge Rd, Kent, OH 44240. Immediately following, the family invites you to enjoy light refreshments.
