Sharyn Nancy Cain
It is with great sadness that the family of Sharyn Nancy Cain (nee Zielke) announces her passing on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at the age of 82 years.
Sharyn was born on October 14, 1936 in Detroit to Edward and Mary Zielke. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School and earned her Master's degree in Education from Kent State. Sharyn taught at Kent City Schools for many years and enjoyed ballroom dancing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Patricia Bashore; and husbands, Keith Palmerton, Russell Shaw, William Knapp, and William Cain.
Sharyn will be lovingly remembered by her son, Kirk Palmerton (Donna), and daughter, Elizabeth Gura (Robert). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Danielle, Joshua, Ian, and Leah, step-grandchildren Gavin and Tegan, and by her great-grandchildren, Eleanor and Jackson.
A Memorial Service will be held at Wesleyan Village Senior Living, 807 West Ave in Elyria on SATURDAY December 29 at 1 PM, with Rev. Beth McKee officiating. Private committal services will occur at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 225 N.
