Teresa Lynn (Sniadach) Kortyna

Teresa Lynn Kortyna, age 54, of Kent, OH, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at David Simpson Hospice House.

Teresa was born January 28, 1969 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Eugene and Katina (Moskoyes) Sniadach.

Teresa was the most loving Wife, Mother, Nana, Sister, Aunt and best friend anyone could ever ask for. She battled ALS for over 15 years, never once complaining. Teresa was a true inspiration to so many people. She had an unshakable faith and loved the Lord with all her heart. Teresa’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and prior to becoming ill with ALS her passion was being a Registered Nurse and caring for others.

She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Doug Kortyna; children, Douglas (Sarai) Kortyna, and Brandi (Adam) Greene; grandchildren, Zoe, Ezra, Avery, and Micah; siblings, Michael (Cathy) Sniadach, Frank (Heidi) Sniadach and Rebecca (Mike) Miller; daughter-in-law to Robert and Elaine Kortyna.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kristina Nemmer.

Calling hours will be held 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, 628 W. Main St. Kent, OH 44240.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2023.  Burial will follow at Standing Rock Cemetery.
