Wanda McMillan Obituary

Wanda “Meme” McMillan, 84, of Kent, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021, at UH Portage Medical Center. Wanda was born on June 18th, 1936 in Bell Town, TN.

Wanda was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was loved by many, a long standing member of Lake Brady United Methodist Church and an active member of the Woman’s Club.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband, Jack D. McMillan; parents, Carl and Irene Bivens; sisters, Alberta and Alma; brothers, J.D., Bruce and Boyce; and daughter-in-law, Diana Lynn McMillan.

She is survived by sons, Jack A. McMillan of Ravenna and Jace McMillan of Kent, daughter, Jama (Dan) Peterson of Garrettsville; grandchildren, Tracy McMillan of Ravenna, Krista (Ronald) Hardway of Garrettsville and Zachary Peterson of Garrettsville; the light of her life, great-grandson, Orion Hardway; sisters, Mary Sassar and Cheryl (Jack) Piltz both of Tennessee; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

A private burial, by family invitation, will be held on Saturday, February 13th, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
