William "Bill" Allen Obituary

William "Bill" Michael Allen, age 51, died suddenly at his home in Kent on Sunday, June 21, 2020. Bill was born on December 29, 1968 in Lorain, Ohio.

He was a graduate of Stow High School class of 1986.  Bill later attended the Pittsburgh Culinary School of Arts in order to pursue his passion for cooking. Professionally, Bill was a residential remodeler and owner of All Custom Painting in Kent where he has resided for the last 20 years.

Bill lit up the room with his larger than life presence, warm smile, generous heart and outstanding sense of humor. Bill loved to make people laugh and was always the life of the party. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking, camping, listening to music, playing with his dogs, and practicing yoga. He loved using his creativity to garden, make pottery and other forms of art, and most recently performing as a member of the Stow Players. Another activity that brought Bill great joy was building incredible sand sculptures. People all along the beach would stop to admire his creations and praise his work. To know Bill was to love Bill.

Bill is survived by his parents Wendy and Barry Brewer, sisters, Amy Olesh and Bonnie (Rob) Gross, former wife and close companion, Jane Groeger, nieces Lauren Olesh, Courtney Olesh, Alexandra Ksenich, and Kasha Wisniewski, and nephews, Neil Groeger, Tyler and Brayden Gross as well as numerous aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Francis Brewer and Gertrude Mary Parks.
