Brian Joseph Raymond, age 46, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday August 17, 2023. Brian was a wonderful man who was kind to everyone and always had a ready smile.
Together with his wife, Brian enjoyed traveling to new places, walking the dogs to the river, and sitting on the front porch with a cold beer. He enjoyed Caribbean vacations with his family and any time spent with his sons. Watching Austin and Tyler grow up was a great joy and privilege for him. He was proud of them both.
Brian loved his parents greatly and treasured his relationship with them. He always tried to help if he could and enjoyed spending time at the pool, eating family meals, and just talking with them both. He was a wonderful son in law to Marsha’s parents and often helped out with their projects as well. He had many funny memories of growing up with his brother Danny and always treated Marsha’s siblings as his own. Brian truly enjoyed spending time with all of his family and loved every single one.
Brian also had a servant’s heart and was always happy to lend a hand where needed. He was an amazing carpenter who could build anything he set his mind to. He was very mechanical and capable. So great were his talents that he actually built his second home mostly by himself- at just age 27.
Another important part of Brian’s life was music- especially live music. He was always ready for the next show and thrilled to be able to spend his free time in this way. Along the path of recent music adventures, he reconnected with many old friends and made dozens of new ones. He touched everyone he came into contact with and made strong friendships in a short amount of time.
Brian was a kind and caring man, a sensitive soul, and a very intelligent person. He will be treasured forever by wife Marsha (Cockrell) Raymond, sons Austin and Tyler Raymond, father Richard Raymond, mother Laura (Huber) Raymond, father in law John Cockrell, mother in law Donna Cockrell, brother Daniel Raymond, sister in law Lynette Paudel (Govind), brother in law John Cockrell (Tiziana), nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a very long list of people who called him friend.
